28 weeks- I am in the 3rd Trimester!

I can't believe that I am seven months pregnant. Wow! Time really has gone by faster than I thought it would. I have a feeling these next two months are going to feel like forever. Last week I had my glucose test and hopefully will find out that everything is good when I go back to the doctor on Thursday. They also gave me a flu shot and said that I am on the list to get the swine flu shot whenever they get it. Hopefully, that will be soon. I am a little paranoid about it since I saw that a pregnant lady died in Houston from it.

We painted Vance's room this weekend. It looks really good. We painted it tan on the top and navy blue on the bottom and my dad put up a white chair rail. Susan bought my bedding for me and the furniture came in today. I am super excited that it is all coming together. I will post a picture of the room soon. I want to get all of the furniture and bedding in there first.

Today I went to visit a lady that has an in home daycare. A girl I know that also works at a State Farm office is going to use her for her baby and referred me. I really liked her. She had a great setup and it was really clean and organized. I felt like I would feel really comfortable leaving him there. I also like that my child will learn Spanish. I feel good that I can check that off my list of things to do. Now I just need to find a pediatrician. I have a few lined up to visit.

I am getting bigger. I think I have grown alot in the last week. I can feel him moving all of the time. Especially at night when I am trying to go to sleep :)
Here are some pictures that were taken at 28 weeks.

24 weeks- 6 months!

I am now officially 6 months pregnant. I have started to feel Vance move around alot more and Aaron even felt him yesterday. I have not felt any real kicks yet, but he is definitely moving around alot. It is really the coolest and weirdest thing ever to feel a living thing inside of you. I had my doctor's appointment last week and everything is going good. I have gained 14 pounds so far, which I feel pretty good about.

We finally got moved in to our new house in Katy and our parents helped us unpack and get settled. It is so nice to be 5 minutes away from work and Aaron says the traffic has not been bad for him. Now we are getting ready to paint the baby's room and order the furniture. The bedding is a sports theme, but it is really classic and cute. I really like it. I also registered at Target and Babies R Us last week which was really fun.

Below is a belly picture and a picture of the bedding.

20 weeks- Half way there!!

We had our ultrasound last week and we found out we are having a boy! We are very excited. Aaron especially. I did not realize how important it is for men to have a boy. We are going to name him Vance Aaron Dieudonne. Everything looks healthy and he weighs about 11 ounces. It now feels a lot more real. There is a baby in me and it as to come out one way or another and it is mine forever when it does. Wow!! Very surreal but exciting! We are packing up our house and getting ready to move to our new house in Katy. I wish I could wiggle my nose or wave a wand and everything would be moved and put away in my new house. Any volunteers?? :)

Here is an ultrasound picture of Vance and a belly picture at 19 weeks.

15 weeks

I am now in my second trimester and feeling much better! I am really enjoying my new job but the drive is really far. We keep hoping that our house will sale soon. I want to be able to get everything organized and decorate the baby's room before I am really big. We are super excited to find out if we are having a girl or boy. We get to find out at 20 weeks~ at the end of July. I am starting to get a small baby bump. I am beginning to feel pregnant and not just fat. It is the weirdest thing seeing my body change and knowing that a life is being created inside of me. I bought my first maternity clothes yesterday. I got a few pair of pants for work and a pair of jeans. They are so much more comfortable! I go to the doctor on Tuesday and they are doing the blood test that checks for down syndrome and spina bifida. Please pray that everything is alright. I am attaching a couple of belly pictures that were taken at 14 weeks.

11 weeks-Back to work!

I am 11 weeks today. I am starting to feel better, which is awesome. I started a new job today at my friend Carolyn's, State Farm agency. I am doing insurance sales again, so if you needs some insurance, let me know. It is so great to be out of the house and doing something productive again. It also helps me to not think about feeling tired and blah all of the time. I have decided to change doctors to be closer to my work. I am going back to my old OB that is at Memorial City Herman Memorial. My next appointment is next Wednesday, June 3rd and I think they are going to do another ultrasound since it will be at the new doctor's office. We put our house up for for sale. We have decided to move to either Sugar Land or Katy or somewhere in between, so Aaron and I both, can have a shorter drive to work. It will also be nice to be closer to my in-laws when the baby is born. We had 4 people look at our house the first week it was on the market. We are hoping someone buy it soon, so that we are not moving when I am 8 months pregnant! I will post a belly picture next week and hopefully another ultrasound picture. Only one more week to go until the first trimester is over! Yeah!!

8 weeks- First Doctor's Visit

Last Monday we had our first doctor's appointment with the OB. Aaron went with me. This is the first time I have ever had my husband go to the dr. with me. It was kinda cool to have someone to chat with while sitting for 45 minutes in the waiting room. They finally called us back to the ultrasound room. Dr. Roberts used that lovely device ( if you have experienced childbirth, you know what I am talking about) and there it was, our little lima bean, on the screen and the heart was beating. The heart beat was 154. Aaron thought he could make out the head , but it was actually the ambiotic sack. It was very surreal. I was so relieved to see that everything was growing in the correct place. I was also so happy to see that I am not one of those crazy woman that make up pregnancy symptoms and isn't really pregnant. I have attached one of the pictures of our little bean. Don't worry if you can't make out what you are looking at~ neither can we:) I go back to the doctor this Thursday to do all of the blood work and tests that they make you do when you are pregnant.

We told my dad this weekend. I was waiting to surprise him for his birthday. It was funny, because he was speechless, which is very unusual for my father. He always has something to say about everything. Here is the video of him opening his picture. It is funny :)

6 weeks~ Nausea sets in!!

Last week I really was not feeling like I was pregnant, so I decided to take another pregnancy test. Yes, I am neurotic, I know! Why is it when you take a pregnancy test and it says negative, that you are satisfied with the results, but when the test says positive you insist on taking like 10 tests to confirm the results. Anyway, I took the test and of course it was positive. Well, sure enough, the next day, the nausea set in. When I say set in, I mean, I literally felt nauseous all day long. You know that last day of a virus, when you are not throwing up anymore, but still feel yucky and have no appetite or a bad hangover that lasts all day, that is the way I was feeling. That will show me to question God again. After like 5 days of constant nausea, my very intelligent sister- in- law suggested that I call the doctor and ask them to give me some medicine. Why didn't I think of that? Maybe because the baby is already sucking the brain power out of me or inexperience...I am going to go with the second choice. On Monday, I got the medicine and I felt like a brand new woman. I was so happy and Aaron said I was much more pleasant to be around. I will admit, I had been a "little" complany the past week. Other than occasional stomach cramps and being tired, I am feeling like my old self again. Wonder how long that will last....

Here is a picture of the belly. And no that is not a baby bump...this is what bloating does to a semi-flat stomach.

Two Pink Lines = Pregnant!!

On Easter Sunday, when we got home from Lake Travis, I decided that things just weren't feeling right with my body and Aunt Flow had not come to town this month .I decided it was time to take a pregnancy test. So I went to Walgreen's and bought a 3 pack of tests. Aaron was busy unloading the cooler and I went to take the test. In about 2.5 seconds, there it was... the two pink lines. OMG I am pregnant!! Literally that is what I started screaming from the bathroom to Aaron. You always know that when you take that test, there could be a chance it will say you are pregnant, but I was still in shock. So I finished my business in the bathroom and ran to the kitchen to show Aaron the test. He was so cute!! He hugged me and even teared up for a second. We were both very excited and I was definitely in shock. Very surreal I must say. My whole life is about to change....and no drinking for 9 months!
